Privacy Policy

Overview

coppflow (“we”, “us”) is a macOS menu bar app that converts your voice into text. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email support@coppflow.com.

What we collect

• Licence data. When you purchase Pro, Lemon Squeezy provides us your email address and a licence key, which we associate with the machine ID of the device you activate it on. We do not run user accounts with passwords.
• Audio. Audio is captured and transcribed entirely on your device using WhisperKit. Audio never leaves your Mac and is never sent to our servers or any third party.
• Transcripts. If you enable history (Pro plan), transcripts are stored on our servers so you can access them across devices. You can delete them at any time from the app.
• Billing. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your full card details. We receive a customer ID, email, and subscription status.
• Diagnostics. Anonymous crash logs and basic usage counts (e.g. transcriptions per day) to keep the app reliable.

How we use it

We use the data above to provide the service, process payments, prevent abuse, and improve the app. We do not sell your data. We do not use your transcripts to train models.

Subprocessors

Speech-to-text runs on your device (WhisperKit) and is not a subprocessor. We rely on the following providers to operate coppflow: language model polishing (OpenAI), payments and merchant of record (Lemon Squeezy), and hosting (TBD). Each receives only the data needed to perform its function.

Your choices

• You can disable transcription history at any time in app settings.
• You can delete your licence record and associated data by emailing us.
• EU/UK residents have rights to access, correct, and erase their data under GDPR. California residents have similar rights under CCPA. To exercise these rights, email support@coppflow.com from the address associated with your purchase. We respond within 30 days.

Retention

Audio never leaves your device, so there is nothing for us to retain. Transcripts in cloud history are retained until you delete them or your licence is deactivated. Licence and billing records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years).
